SWEDS (Satya Wacana English Debating Society)

SWEDS (Satya Wacana English Debating Society) is a place for SWCU student who concerns with the issues that grow in the global society and dedicate themselves to learn how to solve them. Members of this KBM are aimed to learn debating and participate in regional, national, and international debate competition. Therefore, SWEDS focuses in developing public speaking skill, critical   thinking, and international awareness.

SWEDS is open FOR STUDENTS FROM ALL FACULTY IN SWCU!

So do you concern with the issues around you? Or do you want to convince others with your opinions and ideas?

If you do, COME JOIN SWEDS to learn debating and convince them through your arguments and ideas!

Events that SWEDS will hold this year are: debate camp, debate sparring, and Study Development Exhibition Day together with PoWers and ECC.

Not to mention, SWEDS will join some debate competition on this year such as:

-          IVED 2014 (Indonesian Varsities English Debate) at UKSW, Salatiga

-          NUDC (National University English Debate) Kopertis VI 2014 at Hotel Le Beringin, Salatiga

-          ALSA English Competition in University of Indonesia
