A Crown for Half-Period Achievement

The time indeed went by so fast. Now we are on the month of December, reaching a half of our full-time period.  Many laughs, tears, and efforts we have passed in the sake of making every single events held successfully. Also, many competitions outside the campus we have won. Definitely, this will not occur without the struggle that you all have made, ED’ers. Together we have achieved what we want. Below are some of our achievement in this first half period:

1. Runner up on the celebration of Eternity’s 4th anniversary which was held in SMA 2 Pati.

2. Favorit champion in Porsimaptar

1. The third winner of English Speech and Debate Competition in the faculty of Science and Mathematic UNDIP

ECC :

1. The second winner of speech competition in STAIN communicative English Club

A Christmas to Remember

After being prepared for about two weeks, FLL’s Christmas celebration was finally held on Friday, December 12, 2014. Taking a place at F515, this celebration was attended by lecturer and 10 students from each angkatan. There, they sang, listened to the word of God which was taken from John 3:16, and lit the candle together. Also, there were a performance from each angkatan. All of them showed a chant. Over all, this year’s christmas celebration which had the theme of With Love from God went well.

“I really enjoy this Christmas celebration. All of the musician are great. So are Anto and Dora, as the MC. Good job for the committee!” Said Vania Hendra, 2012.

The Gift of Blood is The Gift of Life

On November 27, 2014, bidang 4 together with PMI (Palang Merah Indonesia)  held an event of Blood Donation in order to help those who is in need. Taking a place on Kartini campus, this event is conducted from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. People enthusiasm, especially ED students, towards it is really surprising. This can be seen by enhancement the number of people who comes to donate their blood, compared with last year.

The First Visitation

In order to  increase the solidarity and improve the performance, FLL’s student senate did visitation to psychology’s students senate. The visitation was held in GX building on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 , from 6 p.m to 9 p.m. There, both senate shared their programs to one another, do the question-and-answer session, and watch the KBM performance from each senate. Psychology’s students senate showed the performance from music holic and Golden Dance. Music holic is a KBM in which psychology students who have a beautiful voice gather to sing together, while Golden Dance is a KBM for students who want to learn dancing. Our senate itself showed the F movie which was made by EDFM. Before going home, both senate took the picture together to recall this visitation.

The 8th International Seminar

“Enggaging with Literature Creativity”. That was the theme of this year’s International seminar which was held on November 11th and 12th, 2014 at F building and Balairung Utama (BU). The speakers of this seminar were Tan Bee Tin (University of Auckland, New Zealand), Prof. Alan Maley (Leeds Metropolitan University, UK), Prof. Jayakaran Mukundan (Universiti Putra Malaysia), and Prof. Kirk Branch from United States.

The Inauguration of Students Organization

The date of September 8th, 2014 must be the most memorable day for all FLL students senate’s functionaries. This is because they were eventually sworn along with all functionaries of students organization from other faculties for 2014-2015 period.

The inauguration was held after Monday service done, with the theme of WE COME TO SERVE. Housed in SWCU hall, Prof.Pdt.John A. Titaley, Th.D as the rector pinned pin to the Chairman of University Student Representative Council (BPMU) and Chairman of the Faculty Student Representative Council (BPMF). Meanwhile, Arief Sadjiarto S.E.,M.Pd as the vice rector III for student affairs pinned pin to the Chairman of the Student Senate University (SMU) and the Chairman of the Student Senate Faculty (SMF).

In his speech, Prof.Pdt.John A. Titaley, Th.D conveyed his congratulations to all students who had been elected as the functionaries either in university level or faculty level. He also hoped that students organization in this year could improve the quality of each programs.

Faculty Day: Welcome to Our Beloved Faculty

Talking about Students’ Orientation Days, of course there will be many new things that come to our mind. New friends, new environment, and also new activities. However, behind all those new things, there is always one thing that becomes the main concern of all new students. For the big family of FLL itself, new students are new generation who are expected not only to succeed in their study but also get valuable experiences which will be very useful for their career and also their life in the future. In the process of knowing the learning activity in FLL, this faculty held a special Students Orientation Day or “Faculty Day”. In faculty day, students from many KBM like EDVoice and EDance get the oppotunity to perform their adeptness in front of FLL’s new students. From this Faculty Day, we got some impressions from several students. The first one is from Andre, a student of English Language Teaching Program. “I’m glad that FLL  gives us a very warm welcome for us. Before joining this faculty, I thought that the big project from FLL is only the annual drama performance, but after attending the faculty day, I knew that there are many other projects which are also interesting. Well, so far so good.” 

Besides showing performances from many KBM, there are also open house in which the new students can get closer with the KBM provided here. Virna Margetan, as FLL student senate’s chairperson, said that Open House was held in order to make FLL new students aware of FLL’s events and KBM. “By promoting those events and KBM, they could know that our programs were great. Soon, they will be interested and join us.” She added. At the end, this goal was achieved. Many positive responses came from the new students. They admitted that this event was appealing, creative, and really helpful for them.

Badan Pekerja Harian (BPH)

·        Sekretaris  (2) : Checking proposal kegiatan, LPJ kegiatan, notulensi, membuat surat dan segala sesuatu yang berbuhubungan dengan kesekretariatan.

·        Bendahara  (2) : Checking proposal anggaran, LPJ anggaran, check uang yang dimiliki SMF, memplotkan dana untuk kegiatan SMF.

Bidang 1 : Humanistik

·        Kepala Bidang 1 (1) : Mengkoordinasi departemen-departemen di bawahnya, mengecek kelayakan kegiatan dan anggaran, dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara dan kegiatan di dalam bidangnya.

• Departemen Olahraga

·        Kepala Departemen Olahraga (1) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan departemen olahraga, mengkoordinasi delegasi POM dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara dan kegiatan di dalam departemennya.

·        Anak Departemen Olahraga (4) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan di dalam departemen olah raga seperti EDO, EDBC, EDFC, dan EDVC.

• Departemen Kesenian

·        Kepala Departemen Kesenian (1) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan departemen kesenian, mengkoordinasi delegasi maupun kerjasama dengan event-event lain seperti LoVED, ECD, dan EDO, dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara dan kegiatan di dalam departemennya.

·        Anak Departemen Kesenian (2) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan di dalam departemen kesenian seperti EDance dan EDVoice.

 

• Departemen Lingkungan Hidup

·        Anggota Departemen Lingkungan Hidup (1) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan departemen lingkungan hidup seperti EDventure, mengkoordinasi kerjasama dengan pihak-pihak luar dalam hal kepedulian lingkungan, dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara dan kegiatan di dalam departemennya seperti pendakian dan bersih kota.

Departemen Kerohanian

·        Anggota Departemen Kerohanian (1) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan departemen kerohanian seperti ShED, mengkoordinasi kerjasama dengan pihak-pihak luar dalam hal rohani, dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara dan kegiatan di dalam departemennya seperti ibadah padang, ibadah kunjungan ke panti asuhan dan English Service.

Bidang 2 : Profesional

·        Kepala Bidang 2 (1) : Mengkoordinasi departemen-departemen di bawahnya, mengecek kelayakan kegiatan dan anggaran, dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara dan kegiatan di dalam bidangnya.

• Departemen Pengembangan Studi

·        Kepala Departemen Pengembangan Studi (1) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan departemen pengembangan studi, mengkoordinasi delegasi lomba akademik dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara dan kegiatan di dalam departemennya.

·        Anak Departemen Pengembangan Studi (6) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan di dalam departemen pengembangan studi seperti LoVED, ECD, EDS, PoWERS, dan ECC, dan kegiatan study tour.

•  Departemen Bakat Minat

·        Kepala Departemen Bakat Minat (1) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan departemen Bakat minat, mengkoordinasi dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara dan kegiatan di dalam departemennya.

·        Anak Departemen Bakat Minat (2) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan di dalam departemen pengembangan studi seperti EDRT dan EDFM.

Departemen Pengabdian Masyarakat

·        Anggota Departemen Pengabdian Masyarakat (1) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan departemen pengabdian masyarakat seperti Community Service, mengkoordinasi kerjasama dengan pihak-pihak luar dalam hal edukasi, dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara dan kegiatan di dalam departemennya.

Bidang 3 : Pengkaderan

·        Kepala Bidang 3 (1) : Mengkoordinasi acara bidang, mengecek kelayakan kegiatan dan anggaran, dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara dan kegiatan di dalam bidangnya termasuk delegasi ke LMKM dan LLKM.

·        Anggota Bidang 3 (2) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan di dalam bidang pengkaderan seperti EDLT dan Live In

Bidang 4 : Kesejahteraan dan  Inventarisasi

·        Kepala Bidang 4 (1) : Mengkoordinasi acara bidang, mengecek kelayakan kegiatan dan anggaran, dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara di bidangnya dan inventarisasi LK.

·        Anggota Bidang 4 (2) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan di dalam bidang kesejahteraan dan inventarisasi seperti donor darah, inventarisasi, mengelola keuangan LK, dan membuat jadwal jada ruang LK.

Bidang 5 : Perhubungan dan Komunikasi

·        Kepala Bidang 5 (1) : Mengkoordinasi acara bidang, mengecek kelayakan kegiatan dan anggaran, dan bertanggung jawab untuk segala acara dan kegiatan di dalam bidangnya.

·        Anggota Bidang 5 (2) : Mengkoordinasi kegiatan di dalam bidang hubungan dan komunikasi seperti penerimaan delegasi, komunikasi media maya termasuk facebook, twitter, blog, dan hubungan internal eksternal FBS dan UKSW.
